I love using this recipe as a light appetizer. It such a great looking dish that is super easy to make. I got this recipe from my mother-in-law.
Ingredients:
24 Cherry Tomatoes
Olive Oil
24 Small Squares of Mozzarella
Garlic Salt
24 Pieces of Basil Leaves (I usually just rip 1 basil leave in half and it's the perfect size)
24 Tooth Picks
Directions:
Wash and cut each cherry tomato in half.
Wash and cut each cherry tomato in half.
Start by sliding the end of a cherry tomato onto the tooth pick. Next add a piece of basil, mozzarella, and the other end of the cherry tomato. And there you have it! Just repeat to finish the others and set them on a pretty dish.
Then, drizzle them with some olive oil, making sure to hit each one. Next, sprinkle garlic salt over each one and your finished.
Could it get any easier?
